October is just around the corner! It seems like yesterday I stood at the front doors to welcome students back to school. October is my favorite month as it brings cooler weather (hopefully), football is well under way, and our students are settled into their learning and routines. It fills my heart with joy each day as I walk through classrooms and see such great learning taking place. Just last week I watched students learn about the scarity of food by "hunting" for pennies, learn how to start a sentence with a capital letter and end with punctuation, use our new Ipads to solve math problems, and learn to count by 5s.
